A fine 18th century French engraving titled Vision d’Ezechiel, engraved by Nicolas de Larmessin (1645–1725) after a painting by Raphael (1483–1520). The original panel, celebrated for its grandeur despite its small scale, was part of the famed Orléans Collection.

The powerful composition shows God the Father borne aloft on clouds by the four beasts of Ezekiel’s vision — eagle, ox, lion, and man — surrounded by cherubs and angels, with divine rays illuminating the landscape below.
