Description
An exceptional engraved glass suite with distinguished royal provenance, formerly belonging to Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (1850–1942), seventh child and third son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Prince Arthur married Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia in 1879, and the service passed through the family by descent via their daughter Princess Patricia, later Lady Patricia Ramsay, granddaughter of Queen Victoria.
The suite is finely engraved with a crowned crest and star motifs, reflecting its aristocratic ownership and ceremonial character. A rare and historically important group combining royal association, decorative craftsmanship, and documented family descent—of strong interest to collectors of royal memorabilia, historic glass, and British aristocratic objects.
Glasses : 11x5.5 cm
Decanter : 23x9 cm
