Description:
This exquisite antique Wedgwood Jasperware wall plaque dates to the Georgian–Regency period and features a beautifully detailed classical scene in signature Wedgwood. Crafted in fine jasperware, the rectangular plaque showcases a procession of neoclassical figures, possibly representing mythological or allegorical themes, in raised white relief against a soft grey background.
Framed with an elegant floral border, the scene includes figures in flowing robes, cherubs, and symbolic gestures typical of 18th to early 19th-century neoclassical design. A fine example of Wedgwood craftsmanship, this piece reflects the influence of ancient Greek and Roman art, highly popular during the Regency era.
How rare is our Wedgwood ?
You can visit Georgian Room at the Royal Institution . They are both coming from around similar time.
